Redflex Speed Cameras in IL to Ticket Drivers for 1 MPH Over?

Rahm Emanuel’s speed camera bill, also known as HB-3851 in the Illinois Legislature has no threshold for speed written into it. (HB-3851)

What this means is that a “violation” of just 1 MPH over the speed limit could end up costing Chicago motorists $100.00.

Chicago voters who put Rahm into office are getting what they deserve…Just like Obama voters…

Rahm Emanuel’s speed camera bill should not be
heard ever and Rahm should be fired without a
vote. Some situations shouldn’t need a vote and all kinds of red tape to get a man or woman out of office that takes the constitution lightly.

Our laws in America should be very stiff when it
comes to the rights of the people being violated. I can’t believe we are allowing cameras and have from the beginning because they are unlawful. People shouldn’t be allowed to become legislators if they take the constitution
    lightly and many do.

America won’t be America much longer if we keep this up. Vote for politicians that are not polished speakers and fast talking con men. Vote for the humble men that have ideas that will work. We need congressmen that care about the people above themselves and that is rare but we need rare. A good leader’s life is always on the lline because the rich do not like a man that has the needs of the majority at heart. They will pay what ever it costs to have that person eliminated. We need Ron Paul who knows and unlike most he it saying it. The federal reserve (not part of the government) has been draining the income of the people since 1913. Our country can’t afford to produce products here because they can’t afford it. We have a debt we can never overcome as long as we pay interest on the money the international bankers (The Fed) prints on government printing presses. It’s all a scam just like the speed scameras.

Anyway, both choices for mayor are a joke. The ballot has no space for a write-in candidate, which should violate election laws, but I’m no lawyer.

I hate to say it but your best bet is to not vote for either candidate.

The law is the law, and the camera is there to enforce the law. But just because it’s legal, doesn’t mean it’s right. Motorists should seek to end auto enforcement by using 3 methods:

    1. Information and education: inform others of studies negating safety effects of traffic cameras
    2. Judicial: Contest your tickets in court; make the prosecutor follow due process prior to paying your ticket.
    3. Legislation: Write your city council, as well as your state legislators, urging them to pass bills banning camera enforcement.
