This hat is always a perfect fit for AZ legislators
Last summer, Campaign for Liberty activists walked up to Governor Jan Brewer’s office with over 130,000 signatures from Arizona citizens who wanted to ban photo ticketing across the entire state. Every major media outlet in Phoenix was there as well and the Gov gave us all the cold shoulder.
SCR 1029, which will be voted on by the AZ Senate next week, gives Arizonans the vote on a photo ticketing ban that they deserve. It has the same exact wording as SB 1352, which failed by 1 vote to pass the senate last Wednesday.
Make sure to contact your senators today and tell them to do the right thing and vote YES on SCR 1029.

Wow, I guess this whole anti camera thing is just some big “teabagger” conspiracy!
I’ve never understood why there is an 11 mph grace for photo-speeding tickets, but ZERO grace on red lights. I suspect even a half-second grace period would bankrupt ATS and RedFlex.
They don’t even need a grace period to bankrupt them. 4.5 second yellow light times would do the trick. It worked in Georgia.
Of course it failed to pass the senate by 1 vote…LOL

I would’ve much preferred the legislature doing its job and banning the photo radar industry as a whole. Instead, IF the Senate passes this, then there’ll be an onslaught of pro-camera commercials.
This will be their Alamo – Arizona – ATS’s HOME BASE – and they’ll throw EVERY PENNY THEY HAVE into a campaign of misinformation. THEN, if they actually win, will use their narrow victory as a springboard for the rest of the country.
I truly hope I’m wrong, but that’s how it could easily play out…

We recently met with failure here in Washington state, but public displeasure with photo enforcement extortion cameras is steadily mounting.
I’m not surprised to see it failed by one vote – politicians posturing on this issue are reminiscent of a high school play; it’s a foregone conclusion that they’ve been bought and paid for by the camera corporations and will gleefully sell out the public. The only way to put an end to it is to put an end to their careers by voting them out. Sadly it’s a long-term project and many innocent people will suffer in the interim.
We are getting to them though. Look for the next post. The hard push against these statist wimps marches on..
