With all five ballot initiatives to ban scameras across the country being upheld, it looks like the word is getting out on a national level that photo ticketing programs are not wanted by the people. In fact, all 15 times photo ticketing has gone to a public vote, it has been banned by the citizens.

I think I had a little tear in my eye as I read that article. Its evidence that when the truth is on your side, you can not lose. If we concentrate on the things that unite us instead of letting the powers that be divide us we win every time.

It’s upsetting to me that our state legislature is so heavily influenced by ATS/Redflex, but it’s not surprising. Arizona is the home base of ATS, and Redflex had their huge state highway camera contract in place for a little while, so it’s no surprise that our great state has become such a focus of their lobbying.
If I was in office, I’d make Sam Crump look passive on the issue…
