Majority of Scottsdale Council Candidates Will Vote Against Red Light Cameras

CameraFRAUD volunteers have made phone calls to all the candidates for the 3 open City Council seats in Scottsdale. Their opinions on Red Light Scameras were taken and most are opposed to them. Could a new perspective on this obvious scam be coming to Scottsdale? Maybe.

Scottsdale voters, please make sure you make the right choices in November and send people to represent you that understand red light cameras are not only a scam, but also dangerous. Below are the 7 choices you have and their opinions on Redflex and ATS automated ticketing machines:

Bob Littlefield – As a city council member he voted against the cameras and would continue to do so.

AGAINST Cameras

……………………………………………………………………………………………………

Dennis Robbins – As a previous city council member he voted against the cameras and would continue to do so.

AGAINST Cameras

……………………………………………………………………………………………………

Sean Sheperd – He opposes the cameras would not vote to renew the contract.

AGAINST Cameras

……………………………………………………………………………………………………

Guy Phillips – Would vote no for the cameras and is in favor of looking into alternate measures to slow traffic such as speed feedback signs.

AGAINST Cameras

……………………………………………………………………………………………………

Ned O’Hearn – “If there have been a lot of accidents and it is really the only way that they can control the traffic and put people on alert, then I think it is a good thing. If it is just out there to basically to get a few speeding tickets to fill the city coffers then I don’t support it.”

……………………………………………………………………………………………………

Wayne Ecton – Thinks the cameras are a great thing and is opposed to citizens voting on the cameras. Feels the police and the city are entitled to do whatever they feel is necessary to have citizens abide by the law.

Linda Milhaven – Is in favor of the cameras.

    To whom it may concern,

Sorry but have we not learned that politicians LIE.

It’s a game, notice how all of them are against the cameras but somehow they continue to stay up. STOP playing the game with these freaking politicians.

Bob Littlefield = Douchebag Neo-con McCain supporter

When has someone like Littlefield came out “in the public” and denounced these cameras along with the rest of the city council that is supposedly opposed to it?

Just voting against it is NOT enough….that is game playing

Russell Pearce also said he was against the cameras and then he introduced legislation to expand it.

    THEY ALL LIE!

  2. Sure says:

DPS Commercial Vehicle Enforcement officers will come down hard statewide on those caught driving aggressively, both truck and passenger drivers, during the upcoming Operation Safe Driver week: Sunday, October 17th, through Saturday, October 23rd.

  3. Definitely DO NOT vote for the two on the bottom of the list. The rest is up to you, the voter.

  4. 4409 says:

This almost looks like a backhanded endorsement of these douchebags

When you start writing articles claiming politicians are one way or another your ass will get burnt.

EXAMPLE: Russell Pearce also said he was against the cameras and would vote against them but then turned around and introduced legislation to expand it.

ALL OF THE POLITICIANS ABOVE LIE and if they haven’t lied then their mouths just haven’t opened yet.

Which candidate above has put forth measures to actually remove them NOW! NOT just to not renew the contract or vote against them…but someone who is actively seeking through legislation and public awareness to remove them NOW?

As much as you might be correct, I do believe the candidates when they say that they support the cameras. So the best tactic is still to vote for those that at least claim they oppose them, because the odds will be better then sending a vote to someone who claims they like the cameras, unless you have any better ideas. We have to elect someone.

    • LoneWolf says:

Instead of bashing everyone, why don’t you provide the Scottsdale voters here with some suggestions as to who’d be the best 3 candidates to choose? Like PRS says, they need to elect someone. If they choose none of the above, well, other voters are sure to choose someone and those someones’ may be the candidates listed on the bottom.

  5. Don’t vote for this person either.

  6. Stacey says:

He kicks children in the face!!!

Lol. THAT makes me want to vote for him. Bwhahaha

Our mayor’s mishap (among many) unfortunately is what has to put this great city of ours on the map incl. NY Times, College Humor, etc. He has been our mayor for 6 years and does not have many “proven results” as his campaign says. He is one of many politicians stuck in old-age thought across this continent and a lot of young people here really hope he does not get re-elected. Cause the city would be even greater without him🙂

When you have to say that you were genuinely concerned, you probably weren’t.

It’als also funny because as a sales point, the camera supporters like to say that putting a camera at one intersection improves safety for the surrounding area. But when the situation calls for it, you can forget that you were making that claim and use Katz’s excuse that crashes a few feet from the intersection don’t count.

If anyone wants to run against one of the councilmen or women, they should run on taking the Camera Traffic lights down. Most of the citizens I talk to down here in South Florida are fuming when they get their 158 dollar ticket, I happen to be a mailman, and when I deliver the ticket, guess what, they come from Tuscon Arizona, is that where ATS is located??
