That’s the message American Traffic Solutions appears to be sending to citizens who want a say in preventing automated ticketing in their community.
A ballot initiative to outlaw photo radar and red light cameras cleared a handful of hurdles and submitted the required number of signatures to put the matter before voters.
But that’s not good enough for ATS, the Scottsdale-based firm which specializes in the modern-day equivalent of technological snake oil. A front group, which “also represents [ATS]” has filed a lawsuit to stop the vote.
BanCams.com is seeking donations and support on their website in fighting the ticketing conglomerate (You can also join their Facebook page). Photo radar and red light cameras have never survived a public vote.
